Emirates Airlines awarded 11 winners of the quiz competition, jointly organised by Emirates Airline and The Independent at an award giving ceremony held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital yesterday.
Wajid Hasan Shah, an economist residing in Gulshan in the capital, was awarded a return air ticket to Orlando, USA, as the lucky winner of the quiz competition.
Ten other winners are--Farhana, Mirpur; Ramisah Ahmed, New Eskaton; Shabnaz Amin, Gulshan; Tasmia Fyruz, Mirpur; Md Masud Chowdhury, Uttara; Nazmul Haider, Lalmatia; Nazmul and AKM Masud Parvez from Comilla, Neashat Jahan from Mymensingh and Nawshadul Islam Khan from Chittagong.
They received Emirates branded gift hampers at the ceremony.
Shamim Abdullah Zahedy, executive editor, The Independent, and Ismail Bhuiyan, Emirate’s sales manager for Bangladesh, gave away the prizes among the winners.
Emirates Airline and The Independent jointly organised the competition in September and October last year to mark the launch of Emirates’ daily flight to Orlando from 1st September. Participants had to answer a number of questions on Orlando and Emirates Airline, published in The Independent.
