The visiting Norwegian Minister yesterday offered Bangladesh its expertise and knowledge transfer on oil, gas exploration.
The Minister- Dilek Ayhan, who holds the Norwegian portfolio of Trade, Industry and Fisheries yesterday made a courtesy visit to the secretariat office of Nasrul Hamid, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh.
Both the ministers had a discussion about matters of bilateral and mutual interest and stressed importance on improving the bilateral and trade relationship.
Terming Norway as one of the significant development partner of Bangladesh, Hamid, during the meeting emphasized on knowledge and technology transfer. He also talked about Bangladesh’s mineral resources, gas and gas exploration and international price of oil.
Ayhan meanwhile offered Norway’s expertise and knowledge transfer on oil, gas exploration, especially its knowledge on deep sea exploration to Bangladesh.
Hamid also sought Norway’s help to modernize the ‘Bangladesh Petroleum Institute’ and to make it a state of the art research facility.
