Two arrested for torturing domestic help

Police arrested a woman along with her son in connection with torturing their domestic help in the capitals’s Khilgaon area.
The arrested was identified as Kaniz Fatema alias Sweety, and her son Anup, 15, said Sub-Inspector Rafiqul Islam of Khilgaon police station.
The victim was identified as Shilpi Akter, 12, daughter of one Altaf Bepari, hailed from Shariyotpur district.
Shilpi had been working at the house for last five years. She alleged that the employer’s wife and the son often tortured her following silly matters.
On Tuesday Shilpi left the house and was found unconscious in Tongi area of Gazipur district.
Abdul Aziz, a pedestrian rescued her and brought her to the Tongi General Hospital and later she was shifted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Inspector Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police camp.
