Three Ctg SIs in the dock

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) recommended taking punitive measure against three sub-inspectors (SI) as investigation team of DB (Detective Branch) of CMP found their link with yaba smuggling.
The three SIs were identified Shahadat Hossain, of CMP, and Jewel Sarkar and Sheikh Sajeeb of Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The incident came into light when they tried to implicate a man by managing staged seizure of contraband yaba tablets from a Sound Box at SA Paribahan, a parcel currier service, at Kazir Dewari Branch in Chittagong on October 22, 2015.
 “In the investigation of the DB police over the incident it was proved that it was a stage-managed recovery,” said AKM Shahidur Rahman, Additional Police Commissioner (Administration, Traffic & Finance) of CMP.
