Tigers look to seal T20 series today

Bangladesh eye to wrap up the series as they take on Zimbabwe today in the third of four-match T20 series at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna. The match starts at 3pm. The hosts won the first two matches by four wickets and 42 runs to establish their firm command over a hapless Zimbabwe who still remains jaded and out-of-sort following their 2-0 defeat against Afghanistan. A new look Bangladesh team however will take the field as part of the experiment to create core group of players but nonetheless they are considered as favourite. New pace sensational Abu Haider Rony, the discover of BPL, is all but certain to make his debut, so as Imrul Kayes who will take the place of Mushfiqur Rahim. Two amongst the four players- Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Shahid, Taskin Ahmed and Muktar Ali who joined the side for the last two matches, could get a nod.  “Bangladesh cricket is in such place now from where we never think of being lost any match. The target is to win, we’ll get down to win. If everybody chips in with their natural game, it will be easier to win the series,” said Bangladesh top order batsman Soumya Sarker. Zimbabwe never gives up the hopes of clawing back into the series. Kenyon Ziehl, the Zimbabwe convener of selectors said, “We have to bounce back to level the series. I think the boys and the players understand that.”
