Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim will return to his usual business from his injury layoff within the next two weeks.
Mushfiq sustained hamstring injury when he scampered for two runs during the second match of the four-match Twenty20 home series against Zimbabwe at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium (SANS) in Khulna.
Thereafter, Rahim was sidelined with his right hamstring muscle injury and dropped out of the next two matches.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team struck a bit blow ahead of the ICC U-19 World Cup losing their inform off-spinner Saleh Ahmed Shawon.
Shawon got struck in head with ball during the team’s intense practice session at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chittagong yesterday.
“After being struck in his head Shawon has been shifted to local Max Hospital, where a neurosurgeon examined him. As per the neurosurgeon, he is out of danger,” BCB chief physician said.
“We’ve suggested do a city scan within one hour so that we could know the real status of his injury,” physician added.
