Eminent artist Gulshan Hossain’s 17th solo painting exhibition titled ‘Reflections of Nature and Life’ is now on display at the Athena Gallery of Fine Arts. Managing Director and CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Limited Anis A Khan inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest on Saturday at the gallery premises, while Chairman of Bangladesh Heritage Foundation & National Security Waliur Rahman was present as special guest and eminent artist Professor Rafiqun Nabi as guest of honour.
The three-week long exhibition is showcasing a total number of 55 artworks by the artist which she paints by using acrylic, oil colour and mix media. Gulshan Hossain has had 16 solo exhibitions in UK, Belgium, India and Bangladesh. She has participated in numerous group shows in Australia, Egypt, USA, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, UK, UAE, Iran, Sri Lanka and Canada. She also received several awards, including ‘Grand Award’ and ‘Star of the Symposium’ at an Int’l Art Symposium, Russia in 2012 organised by UNESCO.
Presently, Gulshan is engaged as an Assistant Professor of MFA Department of Painting at University of Development Alternative, Dhaka. The exhibition will remain open to all every day from 10am to 8pm, until February 6. Athena Gallery: AJ Heights, Cho 72/1/D, Pragati Sarani, Uttar Badda.
