Boy murdered for property in Tangail

A teenage boy was murdered by his relatives on Saturday night. The victim was identified as Jewel Rana, 14, of Mohishmara Nedurbazar village in Madhupur Upazila. Jewel’s uncle Mozafor Hossain said Azam Ali, husband of his sister, took Jewel, a student of class-VIII, on January 11 for sightseeing. But Jewel did not return home since then. Police on receiving a general diary arrested Ajmot Ali, 30, and Azam Ali, 28, husbands of elder and younger sisters respectively, and  Nazrul Islam, 27, their companion, on suspicion. However, during interrogation the three admitted that they had murdered the boy for property. As per their confessional statement police recovered the hanging body of Jewel Rana from Madhupur forest of the district early yesterday.
