2 held with arms from newspaper office

Detective Branch of police in a drive arrested two people along with two pistols, six rounds of bullet and arms making materials from a local newspaper office in Maskanda BSCIC Industrial area of the district town early yesterday, reports UNB.
The arrestees were identified as Mehedi Hasan Nadim, managing secretary of “The Dainaki Jahan” newspaper, and it’s another staff Rasel.
Imarat Hossain Gazi, officer-in-charge of Detective Branch (DB) of police said acting on a tip-off, a team of DB raided the newspaper office yesterday morning and seized two foreign-made pistols, six rounds of bullet and some arms making materials and locally-made sharp weapons. Later, they arrested the duo in connection with the incident.
