Mercury House clinch team title in SEMS sports

Mercury House became champions in the annual sports of BAF Shaheen English Medium School (SEMS)  winning 11 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals. The sports meet was held at the school premises on Saturday, according to an ISPR press release.
Venus House finished runners-up winning 9 gold 5 silver and 7 bronze medals. Mohsin Islam Nadrun of Mercury House was declared  the best athlete of the year. This time Girls Flight of Jupiter House was adjudged the best Flight in the annual parade held on the occasion.
Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar, OSP, ndc, psc, attended the ceremony as chief guest. He congratulated the winners of different athletic meets and distributed prizes among them.
The Chief Guest in his speech applauded the remarkable achievements attained by the students of the school both in the field of academic and extra-curricular activities. He expressed his hope that the school would continue this prosperous trend in future.
Senior BAF officers, principal, teachers, parents and students of the school were present in the ceremony.
