Members of Airport Armed Police (AAP) arrested a passenger along with 1.04 crore Indian rupee at Hazrat International Airport yesterday afternoon, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Asaduzzaman Mirza, 45, hailing from Pirojpur district.
Sources at the airport said Asaduzzaman landed at the airport from Karachi of Pakistan via Bangkok by a Thai Airways flight at noon.
When he went to Canopy-2 after crossing the green channel, the AAP members challenged him around 2:30pm, said Senior ASP Alamgir Hossain of AAP.
Searching his luggage, the law enforcers recovered the Indian currency, he added.
