2 killed in capital

Two people were killed in the city’s Matikata and Kadamtoli areas in separate incidents yesterday, reports UNB. The victims were identified as Mamun Fakir, an owner of a small tea stall, and Malek Hasan Mahmud, 33, a worker at a saw-mill. Police quoting family members said Mamun was returning to his Jurain Commissioner Galo Road on Monday night. Suddenly, some miscreants intercepted him near Bagicha area of Kadamtoli at about 9:30 pm and stabbed him indiscriminately.
