Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two people along with 2,100 bottles of phensidyl syrup worth Tk 8, 40,000 from Madambibirhat under Sitakunda Police Station of Chittagong on Friday, said a press release sent by RAB-7 yesterday.
RAB detained the truck which was carrying the phensedyl from Comilla to Chittagong.
The arrestees were identified as Md Khokon, 28, truck driver and son of Abdul Jabbar, and his helper Md Mostafiz, 21, son of Abul Bashar, both of them were hailing from Comilla.
Rab said in the press release, acting on-tip-off, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) led by Major Mohammad Jahangir seized the phensidyl and nabbed them, according to press release.
