The 13th death anniversary of the founding president of Bangladesher Workers Party Comrade Amal Sen would be observed today, reports BSS.
Amal Sen Smriti Parishad has chalked out elaborate programme including placing of floral wreaths at his tomb, discussions and cultural function. Besides, a two-day fair was also organised at Narail marking his death anniversary. Amal Sen was a legend politician of this subcontinent.
He spent 19 years in jail in a bid to realise rights of the people. Amal Sen was a leader of the forefront leader of the communist movement and one of the organisers of the War of Liberation.
He was born at Afra village in Narail on July 19, 1913 and died in Dhaka on January 17, 2003.
