LGED e-tendering by Jan 31

Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Division asked under its all subordinate bodies to introduce e-tendering by January 31 in a bid to ensure transparency, accountability and good governance in public procurements, reports BSS. All divisions and departments under the LGRD ministry have also been asked to introduce Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) by January 31, a gazette notification said yesterday. Legal action to be taken if any department or division found defy the order, the circular added.
