Hosts need at least a draw with Nepal to reach semis

Standing on the same platform, Bangladesh national team and Nepal will face each other today in a bid to make a room in the semifinal of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football tournament.
The match will be start at 6:30pm after the fate of Malaysia would be decided when they will take on Sri Lanka at 3pm in a must win situation to move into the knock out phase.
For both the teams, it is essential to win the match to confirm their qualification, as they managed four points each from their previous two matches, so it would be tough encounter for them.
In a sense Bangladesh team are in a better position in goal difference as they scored five goals and conceded two while Nepal did not concede any goal rather scoring once against Sri Lanka.
But the situation turned difficult for both sides when Malaysia team are also remained in contention as strong contenders to move into the semifinal while they earned two points from their previous two matches after a goalless draw against Nepal and one all draw with Bangladesh.
