7 killed in road crashes
Seven people were killed in separate accidents yesterday. In Comilla, two peoplewere killed and five others injured when a bus collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Srinibas in Sadar Dakkhin upazila. The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, said Lalmai highway police camp in-charge SI Chandan. In Thakurgaon, two persons were killed and six others injured at around 10am following a collision between a bus and a truck at Kumarganj in Ranisankail upazila, OC of Ranisankail police Reazaul Karim said. In Rajshahi, a schoolboy was killed when a truck hit him at Chanpara in Bagmara upazila. The deceased has been identified as Nakibul Islam, 11, said Matiar Rahman, OC of Bagmara police. In Jhenidah, a man, identified as Abul Kashem, was killed and two others were injured as a human hauler overturned at Nagarbathan Bazar in sadar upazila. In Satkhira, Raj Hossain, 9, was crushed under the wheels of a speeding lorry at Vetkhali village in Shyamnagar upazila when he was returning home from school at around 10:30am.
