Student assaults teacher

Some students beat up a teacher of Khan Bahadur Awlad Hossain Khan School in the town yesterday after the school authorities denied them admission in class-IX for shortage of seat, Mazid Molla, headmaster of the school said. Kamal Hossain, the English teacher of the school, filed a case against Uttam Das, a student of Matta High School of West Dashara and six to seven of his unidentified associates for the assault. Mazid Molla said Uttam  went to school with his father at around 2:00 pm to take admission in class-IX at the school.  The school authorities informed then that admission  is not possible for lack of seat.
