BCL demands removal of 2 Ctg college principals

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Chittagong College and Hazi Muhammad Mohsin College units yesterday urged the authority concerned to withdraw two principals of the colleges for not meeting their eight points demand and resolve the ongoing insatiability in the colleges.
The demand came from a press conference at Hazi Muhammad Mohsin College yesterday. They also alleged that the two principals have linked with Chhatra Shibir and they are patronising Shibir.
BCL also claimed that to unearth their link with Shibir they urged the authority concerned to check their mobile call lists.
In the press briefing Chittagong College student and BCL city unit member Kamrul Huda read out a written statement. He said “It is shameful that being a student we have to tell about the immoral activities of the students to all. We want to tell clearly the administrations of the two colleges are the patronisers of the Shibir.”
 “The present environment of the two colleges is not safe for the students. We are continuing our movement with eight points for a week, but the authorities concerned did not pay any heed to our demands, but the Shibir are giving threat to kill us over mobile phone for continuing the movement ,” alleged Huda while read out the statement.
When contacted, declining allegation against her, Chittagong College Principal Professor Jesmin Akter said as a government service holder she can not patronise any political party’s activists.
During the press conference, BCL’s metropolitan unit vice president Abu Md Arif and Kaiser Uddin and Ctg College unit member Raria Akbar and Mohsin College unit member Kazi Siam, were present, among others.
On December 31, 2015, Metropolitan Chhatra League put eight-point demand at a press conference held at Chittagong Press Club where they demanded the colleges be freed from Shibir.
