Police yesterday arrested Enamul Haque, an alleged planner to carry out subversive activities at Key Point Installations (KPIs) in Chittagong from central jail gate.
Enamul Huq, 31, social affairs secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir central committee, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh.
Enamul got bail on Wednesday and the documents of bail reached the jail on Thursday morning. After scrutinising the documents, he was released, said jail sources.
Enamul was arrested from city’s Bogarbil area under Bakalia Police Station on February 21, 2015, on charge of making blue print to carry out massive subversive activities at Key Point Installations (KPIs), including three state-owned oil depots of Padma Meghna and Jamuna in the city’s Patenga area, said police sources.
Earlier, on July 22 and December 10 in 2015, Enamul was also arrested from the jail gate after he came out on bail.
We arrested Enamul from the jail gate in a case lodged in connection with sabotage activities in the city in 2014.
