Fake factory busted

A fake food and chemical factory was uncovered by a mobile court at Kushahata in Sirajganj municipality yesterday. The mobile court sentenced factory manager Abul Kalam Azad and supervisor Faridul Islam to 15 days of imprisonment and fined them Tk 50,000 each. Acting on a tip off, a team of mobile court, led by executive magistrate Joynal Abedin, raided the factory of Navan Food and Chemical at Kushahata in municipality area and seized a large  quantity of fake food items and packets of different reputed companies.  The two also admitted that they had been marketing several fake food items and chemical goods in the name of several well-known companies for a long time.
