A newly-appointed army man was killed in Manikganj yesterday morning. Police recovered the body of Md Naim Biswas, 18, son of Najimuddin Biswas Tulu of Bahirchar-Prubapara village in Harirampur upazila, from a paddy field beside his house at around 10 am. Police and family sources said Md Naim Biswas was a second year student of HSC at Kowri MA Rouf Degree College. Naim was the youngest among two brothers and a sister, sources said adding that he got appointment as an army soldier and received a call for joining a training course on July 1 at Rajshahi Cantonment. Victim’s father Najimuddin Biswas Tulu is a poor farmer. They were happy over Naim’s appointment as an army soldier.Naim went missing after he visited a mobile phone shop, owned by one Rashed, at neighboring Andharmanik Bazaar around 7pm on Monday. He demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the killers. Officer-in-charge of Harirampur police station Nazrul Islam said the body was sent to Manikganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
