Secy committee okays move

The Secretary Committee on Administrative Improvement Affairs has recommended to upgrade the posts of chiefs of Bangladesh Navy (BN) and Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) for better coordination between operational, administrative and command wings among the armed forces with a view to implementing the forces' goal 2030. The recommendation was given at a committee meeting held at the secretariat yesterday with the Cabinet Secretary in the chair. The post of chief of BN will be upgraded to Admiral rank from the existing rank of Vice Admiral, while the post of chief of BAF will be upgraded to Air Chief Marshal from the existing Air Martial.
