Screening of �In the Heart of the Sea� continues at Star Cineplex

In the Heart of the Seaa 2015 American biographical adventure-drama film based on Nathaniel Philbricks 2000 non-fiction book of the same name, is being currently screened at the Star Cineplex of Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in the city. The film is about the sinking of the American whaling ship Essex in 1820, an event that inspired the novel Moby-Dick. The film is directed and produced by Ron Howard and written by Charles Leavitt, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy, Tom Holland, Ben Whishaw, and Brendan Gleeson. In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melvilles Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story. In the Heart of the Sea reveals the encounters harrowing aftermath, as the ships surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, starvation, panic and despair, the men will call into question their deepest beliefs, from the value of their lives to the morality of their trade, as their captain searches for direction on the open sea and his first mate still seeks to bring the great whale down. To note, the film was premiered in New York City on December 7, 2015 and was released in cinemas in the United States on December 11, 2015 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
