'Telemedicine centre' will start operation at the Upazila health complex in the country today to provide healthcare facilities to the rural people, reports BSS. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under its 'InfoSarker Project' will launch 25 Telemedicine Centers initially at 25 Upazila Health Complexes, official sources said. Physicians and doctors of 11 medical university and college hospitals and institutions, including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital, will provide advice and treatment regularly to the patients of rural areas free. "More Telemedicine Centers will be set up in the second phase," said the official.
