The draw between Nepal and Malaysia meant, every team kept their hopes alive to move into the semifinal while Bangladesh team are in better position with winning their first match. But they will have to win at least one match from rest of their two matches.
Despite conceding defeat at the hands of hosts Bangladesh, Sri Lanka are not yet out of the competition, though it would be something tough for them but they have still have a chance to move forward and they will have to win both their next matches.
However, on the other hand Malaysia, the pre-match favourites could not prove it, as Nepal dominated the match for most of the time and also produced better opportunities to score goals while Malaysia played under pressure and were forced to play with counter attacks strategy.
