‘Bhul Jodi Hoy’—a full-length Bangla feature film staring actress Alisha Pradhan is going to hit countrywide cinemas today. This is the very last film from late noted filmmaker Chashi Nazrul Islam, while Alisha started her journey in the film world with this film. Alisha has a lot of sweet memories centring the film, besides having a chapter of unforgettable facts blended with melancholy.
Alisha said about the release of her second film, “I can’t even think that no more films will be released from this brilliant director. Holding his hand, I started working in the film for the first time. The sad reality is that his film is releasing today, but he is not with us anymore.”
The film is expected to release in about 30 cinema halls across the country, Alisha informed DhakaLive.
She said about the film, “This is not a 100 percent commercial film. There are many common scenarios that have been seen often in our society such as youngsters getting married suddenly, leaving their parents in the darkness. They do not listen to their parents. Even the manner of paying respect to others is also absent in them. Eventually, they get divorced just after a few days of their marriage. This much notable social issue is being brought to the silver screen by the brilliant film director Chashi Nazrul Islam.”
Produced by ATN Multimedia, the film features six songs. Popular actors Shahiduzzaman Selim, Emon, Shamrat, Lina Ferdousi and others have shared the screen with Alisha in the film.
Earlier, Alisha-acted yet another film directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam titled ‘Antaranga’—that is actually the second film for Alisha as she first began working for ‘Bhul Jodi Hoy’, was released in November last year.
While working in ‘Bhul Jodi Hoy’, many memories have been gathered in the mind of Alisha. She said, “I was a little afraid when I first came to act for the film. But Chashi Nazrul Islam never made me feel scared about being a novice artiste during the shooting. He taught me many pronunciations before giving delivery of the dialogues. He sometimes even fed me with his own hand as if I was like his daughter. That memory and his generous behaviour cannot ever be forgotten.”
