Son kills mother

A mentally challenged son allegedly killed his mother at Barera in Mymensingh sadar upazila yesterday.
The victim was identified as Parvin Akhtar, 50.         
Kamrul Islam, OC of Kotwali police, said Parvin’s son Anis, 22, locked in an altercation over eating food at around 4.00 pm. At one stage, Anis strangled his mother to death.
 Neighbours caught Anis and handed him over to police. The arrestee was produced before a Mymensingh court that sent him to jail.
