Journalist Azizul Haq died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday night. He was 73, reports UNB.
Azizul Haq, who was special correspondent and chief reporter of now defunct The Bangladesh Observer, breathed his last at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases around 10pm, said Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, general secretary of National Press Club, of which Azizul Haq was a member.
He left behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and Kamrul Islam Chowdhury, president and general secretary of the National Press Club, expressed deep shock.
