German Development Corporation (GIZ) is interested to set up a modern slaughter house and waste removal and bio-gas plant in Rajshahi city for its environmental development, reports BSS.
A two-member GIZ team expressed their interest in this regard during a courtesy call on Nizam-Ul Azim, Mayor-in-Charge of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC), at latter’s office yesterday.
The GIZ team members, senior adviser (Sustainable Energy for Development) Mudabbir Bin Anam and Adviser Sadequl Islam Talukder apprised Mayor of the need of the city and the ongoing project for development of the socio-economic condition of the poor living in the city.
Chief Executive Officer Ajahar Ali, Secretary Syeda Zebinnissa Sultana, Chief Engineer Ashraful Haque, Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun and LGED Executive Engineer Ruhul Amin were present in the meeting.
