A three-day long international conference on renewable energy will begin today on the premise of United International University (UIU).
The conference titled ‘4th International Conference on the Development in Renewable Energy Technology (ICDRET)’, organised by the UIU will be held from January 7-9.
State Minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid will inaugurate the conference and grace the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest.
“A huge number of participants are expected to join the conference that will mainly focus on the development of solar energy-based mini grid, nano grid, system without inverter, and solar-pump irrigation,” said Shahriar A. Chowdhury, Director of Centre for Energy Research of the United International University.
The state minister said that like the previous ICDRETs, they expect participation from all tiers of RE sector to make the conference a useful forum for sharing experiences, exchanging the views and helping to forge a long lasting bondage between the academia, industry and the people involved in the dissemination of the technology at the grass root level.
After Kyoto Protocol and Cancun Conference, world community is getting closer towards a unified collaborative effort to curb Green House Gas (GHG) emission.
