Stocks up for two consecutive sessions DSE turnover Tk 655.74cr, CSE Tk 40.46cr

The key share price indices at the country’s twin bourses—Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- ended in green for the two consecutive trading sessions yesterday with upbeat turnover, reports UNB.
The DSE key index, DSEX gained 36.55 points or 0.79 per cent to close at 4679.81 on the day. Of the 321 issues traded, 209 gained, 87 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 655.74 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday as against Tk 608.48 crore on Tuesday.
Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills topped the gainer’s list at Dhaka bourse while other companies were Alltex Industries, Golden Harvest Agro Industries, Argon Denims, Emerald Oil Industries, Global Heavy Chemicals, National Tea Company, BD-Thai Aluminium, Standard Ceramic and Premier Cement Mills. The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were United Power Generation and Distribution Company, Beximco, Beximco Pharma, Emerald Oil Industries and Ifad Autos.
Top five losers at the DSE were RN Spinning Mills, Simtex Industries, Meghna Pet Industries, Janata Insurance and Zeal Bangla Sugar Mills.
The key index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), CASPI gained 76.91 points to reach 14278.49 at close on Wednesday. Of the 243 issues traded, 149 advanced, 65 suffered loss and 29 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues at the port city bourse was Tk 40.46 crore on the day.
