The condition of senior journalist Amanullah Kabir, who was admitted to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) on Tuesday following a cardiac arrest, improved slightly on Wednesday, reports UNB.
Hospital sources said Amanullah Kabir, Senior Editor of bdnews24.com and a member of the Jatiya Press Club managing committee, regained consciousness.
However, he has still been kept on life support at the intensive care unit of the hospital.
Meanwhile, a milad mahfil was held at the Jatiya Press Club after Asr prayers on Wednesday seeking recovery of the veteran journalist.
Press Club President Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman, its General Secretary Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, other journalist leaders and senior journalists attended the milad.
A munajat was offered seeking early recovery of the journalist.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, Amanullah was admitted to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack.
