Speaker stresses extracurricular activities for children

Speaker of the Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury yesterday stressed the need for extracurricular activities for proper flourishing of children, reports BSS.
"Cultural practice is very important for a child to develop its human qualities...so, the children should involve themselves more in extracurricular activities to flourish themselves", she said.
She was speaking as the chief guest at the concluding and prize distribution ceremony of Seasonal Competition 2015 at Bangladesh Shishu Academy auditorium in the city, said a press release.
State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki, Secreatary Nasima Begum also spoke on the occasion chaired by litterateur Selina Hossain.
