One exempted from service

Khulna: The authorities of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) have issued separate show cause notices against three teachers and exempted another from service over breaching discipline, reports UNB.
The steps were taken at a meeting of the university’s Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday.
Show cause notices were issued against Prof Dr Md Masud, Assistant Prof Md Fazle Rabbi and Lecturer Md Asaduzaman of Mechanical Engineering Department on charges of leaving the campus without informing the chair of the department.
Besides, the Disciplinary Committee exempted Lecturer SM Mahbubur Rahman, who was appointed ad-hoc, of the same department from service on charges of breaching discipline.
The Disciplinary Committee also barred two 2nd year students -- Rudro Sinha, assistant secretary of Lalon Shah Hall unit of BCL, and Mehedi
Hasan, a BCL member - from appearing for the next term examination in connection with a BCL infighting on the campus on December 12 last.
