Staff of pvt TV channel drowns at Hatirjheel lake

An employee of ATN Television channel yesterday drowned in Hatirjheel Lake in the capital. He was identified as Towhid Hossain Bunty, 31, worked as a receptionist of the private television channel. Qouting eyewitness, Bhazon Sarker, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters in the capital said, Bunty fell off from the Rainbow Bridge-1 around 3pm in Hatirjheel lake. Getting information, we rushed to the spot and recovered the body around 3:40pm, he added. Later we brought the body to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital but the on-duty doctors declared him dead. However, he could not tell the reason behind the incident.  He was married and has one years old son, said Jesmin Akter, another receptionist of the media house.
