Bangladesh Under-19 team technical advisor Stuart Law is looking for the three-match series against West Indies in order to asses the team’s condition ahead of the Junior World Cup.
The Under-19 team didn’t play well in the tri-nation series in India a few days back but Law was unfazed by it, saying Bangladesh are always a force to be reckoned with at their own backyard.
“They haven’t been playing as consistently as they would like to do but we have got a three match series against West Indies coming up very shortly and that’s a great opportunity for us to find turn and get us back on track and hopefully go well in the cup,” he said.
“Not many Under 19 teams do well against Indian Under-19 team. They are stacked with good talent. They have had a few guys who had IPL exposure. You have got to understand that our boys haven’t had the exposure that the Indian boys have had. But to get back on the horse, playing back here in our own backyard playing here in Bangladesh will give a good account of themselves. We have three games against the West Indies to understand our roles and gets a consistent game going heading to the World Cup.”
