Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) invited Sri Lanka to play a bilateral series after the World Twenty20.
The board has taken the decision of arranging some more ODIs for the team considering the fact that they had no ODI matches until October when they host England this year.
The FTP was set such way that Bangladesh who moved to the No. 7 in ICC ODI rankings would face a deep problem to keep their rise in the limited over cricket intact. Bangladesh would however need to play the teams who are above them in the rankings should they want to maintain the rankings.
This year they are scheduled to get just six ODIs—three against England in home series and three against New Zealand in away series in December.
The board however sent a letter to Sri Lankan Cricket Board, inviting them to play a bilateral series after the World Twenty20, said Sheikh Sohel, a director of the BCB.
“They are yet to give any feedback but we are hopeful about hosting the series against them after the World T20 this year.”
