3rd episode of �Ujan Ganger Naiya� to be aired today

The third episode of the popular drama serial ‘Ujan Ganger Naiya’ will be aired tonight followed by its sister programme ‘Natoker Pore’.  Produced by BBC Media Action and directed by Samir Ahmed and Bashar Georgis, this series three has been created by Anisul Hoque and written by Monirul Islam Rubel, Rafiqul Islam Poltu, Golam Rabbani and Shusmin Afsana. The series is directed by Bashar Georgis and Sameer Ahmed and the cast includes Riaz, Tarin, Mousumi Hamid, Dolly Zahur, Nazmul Huda Bachchu, Shatabdi Wadud, Jyotika Jyoti, Lutfur Rahman George, Rawnak Hasan, Maznun Mizan, Ashok Bepari, Tawsif, Nadia, Shamima Islam Tusty, Reekita Nondini Shimu, Iqbal Hossain, Mim, Opu, Uttam, Kabir, Rana, Rabiul Hasan, Shaikot Pramanik, Alamgir, Afzal and Jainal.  
The sister programme ‘Natoker Pore’ provides a space to discuss the issues explored in the drama, and features artistes from Ujan Ganger Naiya talking with families and specialist doctors. The combination of the two shows is designed to encourage families to do things that help women to have safer pregnancies and childbirth and take better care of themselves and their new born babies.
‘Ujan Ganger Naiya’ and ‘Natoker Pore’ are produced by BBC Media Action and are part of the BBC ‘Agomoni’ project, which uses a range of media outputs to support people all over Bangladesh to adopt healthier behaviours and practices connected to pregnancy, childbirth and nutrition. The programmes are made with funding from the UK Department for International Development and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation.  
The third episode will air tonight on ATN Bangla at 8:40pm and Wednesdays at 3:10pm. ‘Natoker Pore’ follows directly after the repeat broadcast of the drama on Wednesdays (3:10pm), at 3:40pm.l
