6 robbers held

Police detained six suspected highway robbers from Hatiku-mrul intersection area in Sirajganj district on the Dhaka-North Bengal highwayt yester-day morning when they preparing for committing crime. The arrested persons are Kanchan, Hossain Ali, Shahinur Rahman, Rashedul Islam, Liton Mian and Jahangir Hossain.  Waheduzzaman, officer-in-charge of DB police, said they conducted a drive in Hatikumrul intersection area on the basis of secret information and arrested the six highway robbers. They have been sent to jail after producing before a court in the town.
