Ranga calls for standing beside cold-hit people

State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mashiur Rahman Ranga has called upon the affluent people in the society to stand beside the clod-stricken people of Rangpur region, reports BSS. He made the call while distributing blankets among the cold-hit poor and distressed people at a ceremony arranged by "Suryadoy Samobai Samity" at its office premises in the city on Saturday night as the chief guest. Presided over by President of the samity Sabbir Mahmud, its Chief Adviser Shahin Hossain Zakir, General Secretary Murad Hossain, businessman Ibrahim Byapari and workers leader Raju Ahmed addressed the ceremony. Later, the State Minister distributed blankets donated by "Suryadoy Samobai Samity" from its own resources among 2,000 cold-stricken poor and distressed people, including men, women and children, of the city
