�Robber� killed in �gunfight�

An alleged ringleader of a robber gang was killed in a gunfight with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Enayetpur area in Tangail yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Mostafa, a ringleader of a robber gang in the district and accused in several cases including those over robbery.
On information of robbery attack on the house of Arjun Kumar, a patrol team of the elite force surrounded the house around 3.30am, said additional SP Mahiuddin Farooqi, commander of RAB-12.
Sensing RAB’s presence, the robbers opened fire at them and hurled 2 hand bombs towards them, leaving two RAB men injured and prompting them to fire back, triggering a gunfight.
