A Chittagong court yesterday granted four-day fresh remand for the three banned Islamic outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in a case filed with Hathazari Police Station under Arms Act. Mahmudul Hasan, senior magistrate of Chittagong district passed the order. The three were identified as --- Chittagong University’s (CU) physics department students Naimur Rahman Nayan, 25, of Kurigram, arrested from Kazirdewari, Faisal Mahmud, 26, of Noakhali, arrested from Nalapara and Md Shawkat Rasel, 26, of Cox’s Bazar arrested from Aman Bazar area with a US-made sniper rifle huge explosives and Bangladesh Army’s uniform on December 26-27, 2015. Hathazari police submitted a prayer of 10-day remand for each arrestee and showing arrested in a case filed at Hathazari Police station. The court granted four-day remand for each,” said Md Matiur Rahman, Court inspector of Chittagong District Police.
