Elite Mobile is going to launch Bangla Anroid smartphone for the first time in the country in the upcoming three-day smartphone and tab expo which will be held on Thursdayday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.
Rashed Mahmud Ovi, marketing manager of Elite Mobile, disclosed the offer at a meet the press on the occasion of Smartphone & Tab Expo-2016 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel yesterday.
The configuration of E 40, the new smartphone includes usable interface and keyboard completely in Bangla language, where a user can change an English word or a sentence to Bangla and vice-versa through internet by swiping his finger. Language of a message can also be changed in the same way. E 40 also has an Apps Market which has more than 10,000 apps that are free and they do not require any Gmail address. Besides, first smartphone users can use E 40 smartphone through its tutorial which has been made completely in Bangla, said Rashed Mahmud.
At present 13.30 crores people use mobile phone but only 20 per cent of the total users have smartphones. “The new smartphone will be very cost effective as we want to increase the number of smartphone users in the country,” Rashed Mahmud said.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak is scheduled to inaugurate the country’s largest tech show at 3:00pm on Thursday. There will be a mega pavilion, 8 pavilion, 4 mini pavilion, 8 stalls, a media booth, a ticket counter booth and an organiser booth in the technology carnival.
The event organiser Expo Maker officials said that many renowned brands already confirmed participations at the event. Some of those are Samsung, Symphony, Stylus, Gloldberg, Oppo, Huawei, Rangs, Elite, Asus, Lenovo, MyCell, Twimns, Prestigio, gadget Gang Seven etc.
The expo will remain open from 10 am to 8 pm for the visitors. Last year the entry fee was Tk20 but this year the organisers have not fixed the fee yet.
Moreover, on the occasion of the fair, through the official facebook page the audience can participate in ‘STE Quiz Contest 2016’. From the contest participants could win Samsung, ASUS Zenphone 2, Elite Mobile nad Huwaei handset.
Expo Maker head of operations Nahid Hasnain Siddique said the arena of the exposition has been broaden this year for visitors to explore the fair in comfort.
Country’s top mobile operator Grameenphone is the title sponsor while Elite, Huwaei, Samsung and Symphony are the co-sponsors of the expo.
