PM to open Dhk-Ctg 4-lane highway by end of May: Quader

Comilla: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Dhaka-Chittagong four-lane highway by the end of May this year, reports UNB. The first phase of the four-lane project will be completed within the next 10 days, said minister Obaidul Quader while speaking at the inauguration programme of the country’s first vehicle underpass in Comilla Cantonment area on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. “Our communications system marched one step forward with the inauguration of the country’s first vehicle underpass,” he said at the programme.
Lauding the contribution made by Bangladesh army in communications infrastructure development, Road Transport and Bridges Minister said they have an
important role in implementing works maintaining
quality.
Former GOC of Comilla Cantonment Major General  Jahidur Rahman, additional chief engineer of Dhaka-Chittagong four-lane highway project Junaid Ahmed Shibib, project director Abdus Sabur, among others, spoke on the occasion.
