Independent TV move into quarterfinal

The Pran Frooto-BSJA Media Cup Cricket reached the quarterfinal stages. The second round matches of group-phase concluded at Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium in the capital yesterday.
All the four quarterfinal matches will be held today at the same venue. Independent TV became Group-D champions on the basis of better net run rate as other two teams of the group Daily Kaler Kantha and The Independent also earned even number of two points after winning one and losing same number of matches in the group stage.
Independent TV, who went down to The Independent in their first match, inflicted a 20-run defeat on Kaler Kantha yesterday. Zakir of Independent TV was adjudged the player of the match.
Samoy TV, ATN News, Dhaka Tribune. G-TV,  Jamuna TV, Channel-I,  and Radio Today are other seven teams who have qualified for the quarterfinals.
