SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, has managed to transport a heavy load to Uganda.
The cargo contained heavy machinery and bridge parts to be built across the Nile River in the African country, Emirates said in a statement recently.
A Japanese company hired the cargo service for being known to carry heavy loads such as helicopters, ship rudders, aircraft engines and a yacht’s mast among others. The cargo weighs around 84 tones and was transferred by the Boeing 777 Freighter aircraft, it added.
Emirates has a fleet of 246 aircrafts including 15 freighter.
The airline provides cargo transportation service throughout in global network using the bellyhold of passengers aircraft as well as the freighter.
