3-day regional recitation fest ends at Shilpakala today

A three-day regional recitation festival and workshop has begun at the Music, Dance and Recitation auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), Segun Bagicha in the city on Thursday.
Aiming at enriching and flourishing the recitation branch of Bangla literature, BSA, in association with Bangladesh Abbrity Samannay Parishad, organised the event where artistes from across the country came together in ten districts.  
Presided over by Bangladesh Abbrity Samannay Parishad presidium member Kazi Arif, eminent cultural personalities Ramendu Majumder inaugurated the event on Thursday at the premises of BSA. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor was present as chief guest at the event while BSA Director General Liakaut Ali Lucky and Bangladesh Abbrity Samannay Parishad General Secretary Ahkam Ullah were present as special guests.
After the inaugural ceremony, artistes from several recitation organisations, including Kanthashilon,  Swaroshruti,  Muktodhara Sangskritik Charcha Kendra, BiswaKala Kendra, CharuKantha Abbrity Sangsad, presented group recitations while Kazi Modina took part in solo recitals.  
On the second day of the event, several recitation organisations including ‘Dhhani’ from Jahangirnagar University, Shruti from Narayanganj and Bornon from Manikganj took part in the group recitation while  Syed Hasan Imam and Ashraful Alam took part in solo recitals.
Today, on the concluding day, Kanthamala from Narayanganj, Sabda from Mymensingh, Swanan, Muktabak, Utsa Abbrity and Sanskrit Academy, and Agra,among others will take part in the group recitations while Niranjan Adhikari, Associate Professor of Department of Sanskrit and Pali, Dhaka University will take part in solo recitals.
Besides, a two day workshop is being held from 9am to 5pm, which will end today.
