Jasimuddin�s birth anniv today

The 113th birth anniversary of ‘Palli Kobi’ (folk poet) Jasimuddin will be observed today, reports UNB. A 15-day fair will be organised at the poet’s village home Ambikapur, in the outskirts of Faridpur town, marking the day. Jasim Foundation, Faridpur district administration and other organisations will place wreaths at his grave near his residence at Ambikapur in the morning. Besides, a discussion on the life and works of the poet and a doa mahfil will also be held.
