Village doctor killed

A village doctor has been killed allegedly by members of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) at Antormor in Goalondo upazila. The victim has been identified as Mosharrof Hossain, 32, of Panturiya village of the upazila. Officer-in–Charge of Goalondo police SM Jalalur Rahman said a gang of PBCP men, angered by refusal to pay them toll, stabbed Mosharrof on Wednesday night when he was going to his house from Antormor Bazaar.
Local rushed Mosharrof to Faridpur Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, but later he was sifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he died yesterday.
